I would ask them if thats what they are looking for in a vocalist, or if thats just that guys style. But if your not into it, i would hold off. Im sure the right situation will come along for you. Just keep checking craigslist and asking around. bass players are always in need somewhere.

i didnt know you play classical guitar, i have a SICK Yairi W/ Spanish cedar top and burled mahoghany back and sides, sounds amazing!!

Yeah, that DOES seem the best route to take.

PM me a pic of that guitar bro. Bet it's nice!!

I just started taking lessons a couple weeks ago, I've had two 30 minute sessions. I figured I could at least continue to grow (during this down-time) as a musician by trying something different. I have issues w/ the narrow string spacing of steel string guitars and acoustics, and I suck w/ a pick. So, classical was a perfect fit. I'm working on the Beatles' Yesterday.

ill snap a pic tomorrow for you. i bought it new in 92 and when its not being played it was always in the case. MINTY

Awesome! (although I prefer the Geddy Glaub ;)

And agreed- go Team Coco! LOL

Well, in all honesty, I have both basses out and tend to grab whatever one I'm feeling. i had to get a new bass cab after mine had a meltdown in St. Louis (lets blame the Gretsch bass). So I went w/ the Aguilar DB810 and am getting a killer sound w/ my blue Glaub into the Aguilar Tone Hammer and TLC, then into the DB751. But the Geddy Glaub sure is cute!

... and the truth comes out, LOL...
Yes, it is cute, but the Blue Glaub is, well... beyond words awesome!!!

So did you end up playing through that albino Ampeg rig at all, or did the Aguilar get replaced right away? And btw, the tone was still pretty killer even with the dying cab, lol.

YES, a 55-94 and my "goto" bass... also my first Lakland, bought off eBay without ever even touching or seeing a Lakland in person. That's another love at first sight story that I've told time and time again...

Here's a crappy pic w/ fingerprints and such. The cover was just laying there for fun. Sadly, Traci is my least photo'd Lakie.

and sorry, you can't try a "couple" of my basses!!! I already told you that you have to play ALL of them d@mnit!!!

YOUR 55-94 ROCKS !!!! cooler than mine. look at the fingerboard..woowww!!! nice birdseye maple you've got.

I have a brand new black/rosewood 55-01 on the way. I've had several Lakland 55-01 models and 55-02 models over the years but ended up selling them. I missed having a 55-01 because it's my favorite of the two.

My wife is visiting family in Orlando today so she is going to pick it up for me from Bass Central and bring it home to me here in the Tampa Bay area. :hyper:
