I'm likin the mockup better, this looks a little dark. Then again, with the blocks & binding that could work, but still prefer the mockup.

I believe the root beer was the metalic brown VW no? That would be killer with the blocks & binding and my #1 vote!

Do it! Take it from a refin junky, you'll always second guess or want something else, but I know you've been jonesing for this for a while, and it SCREAMS Evan....LOL.

I'm definitely interested in the MM/P pickup config, but I placed it according to the space remaining between pickguard and bridge ... only afterwards realising the MM pickup was much closer to the bridge than in a 55-94/02.

If I was going to go for that pickup config, I think it would have to be a modified 55-02 rather than the P body shape.

OTOH the end result (the placement of the MM) wasn't too far from this and I know I've tried one of those and liked it.

I think I like the black PG. Maybe 20 or so fewer screws...
