PLEASE POST PICS!!!

have you checked out: Link Removed yet?

My 55-02D showed up yesterday and after playing her for a couple of hours last night I'm totally blown away by what a great bass she is. Having only played Lakie's in music stores before buying one used from Dub56 here on TalkBass I didn't fully appreciate what nice basses they are. Yes, the neck felt great and it was versatile but until I got her in my hands at home with my amp without the sales staff hovering only then did the real beauty of the bass come through. I couldn't be happier.

I'm pretty stunned all the way around. I can't see Gassing for anything else at this point...except maybe a Duck Dunn!

I like the lighter trans better....

I think I'll really dig it.. not sure about other options. I'd keep it natty if I didn't have my natural fretless. Definitely a trans though.

I like the trans Root Beer color and pickguard, but pickup cover AND the thumb rest  ...not really a fan of either of those things on their own, but together it's extra odd looking IMO.

Each can be removed afterwards, but I love the thumb rest. It feels great... maybe I could do without the cover. I've just always liked them.
