Ummmm, my BG5 doesn't have a serial #, maybe I should start the ZERO club!!!!!
Back after a reallllllly long time D:
anything new?(Besides the name changes I saw on Lakland's website :O!)
Lovin' the 51 p!
Dan is leaving!?!?
I met him at Bass Player Live 2 years ago..super nice guy
Thanks!
I love the change, I'm just more of a J-bass kind of guy I guess. It sounds and looks a lot more like I wanted it to and still has the feel of the 55-02.
Signing in...

hey guys....last night in Germany, then home tomorrow. Good Beer, and 2 bottles of 30 year old scotch while in scotland. Good trip. Ready to get back to my girls and my lakies. I am really gassing for a DJCS or a JOCS. I need to find one.
did you drink all of the scotch???? if not, bring some to CHI town next time if you are driving....PLEASE???
have a safe trip home!!!
PS - German beir is up near the top (well Belgium and Germany tie for top) of my list.
you up for a 30 year old single malt Talisker?
permission to come aboard granted!

Well, I'm more of a Lagavulin/Bowmore guy, but I guess I'm in...
Thank you sir!!!
I'm certainly still new at the game. However, when I bought into the low end (Bass), I went with Lakland. Great instruments!
There's tons of data to sift through, I'll likely be behind the scenes chewing on it as I find time... With a 3 year old in the house, I'm left to juggle between the two as many of you know.
I recently purchased a nice 4-String Fretless Scheff from Terry... I haven't touched my 55-02Deluxe since...
Okay, I give, in, what is the 6th knob for ?

This made me LOL. I can totally picture the whole scene.Carl Pedigo said that was not possible since it was not "hooked up" that way....but I showed him that it did...kind of a "push it to 11" effect....adds a little more treble etc. in active mode
anyways - when i had it refinished, he 'fixed" it so it only worked in passive mode ("The way it was MEANT to be" according to Carl).....I told him that I never play passive and wanted it to work in active as well....well, He gave me that "oh god!" look and his eyes rolled but then he did it...he is ALL about customer service!

How does one go about obtaining an official unique LOG number?
I mean I've been told the water is warm, I've gotten my feet wet (I think), now what?
I haven't taken any photos of the Sheff. However, here's a few of my 55-02D.
Good choices but.....30 year? can't beat it (or pay for it over here!)
OK OK.....it is a "passive tone knob".....people would complain that they lost some tonal control when they went passive on the basses....this knob is SUPPOSED to only work when the pre-amp is in passive mode but mine worked in both active and passive when I first got it....

I have only seen them on humbucking CHI equipped basses to date....Ed Friedland has one on his 44-07, Markus has one on his 44-07 and I believe there is one on the 44-07 that Matty has (had???).
so...long story - hence seperate post!
Yeh - that wold be cool! JJ can join with Shadowefax and maybe I can join with Blondie (even though she DOES have a serial number...she WAS the prototype)
Panda: good to have you back! ALOT has happened! cannot catch you up on all.....here are 2 of mine you have not seen yet:

AND you STILL do not have a Lakland!??? even after meeting Dan!? oh well.....yeh - the company is in VERY good hands...you can read about it in detail on the LOG site if you want (PM me and I can send you a link to the thread so you don't have to search).....
John and Bo P are good guys! Dan is still trying to figure out what he is trying to do.
I am glad you like it! the neck profiles are identical so it should feel pretty familiar to you!
permission to come aboard granted!
