I don't think anyone said that this thread is "not good for TB" but when the thread gets bumped often by off-topic chatter, other threads with discussion on Basses get bumped down. Other members have complained about this. Multiquoting is not a forum rule, but please use your best judgment about responding (and think about other members of TB who are also interested in other threads).
For example, when a user responds to every single post (substantive or not) that took place after his or her last one in separate posts, often in one word replies, it does not strike me as necessary. It serves to bury other threads in the forum and boost individual post count but doesn't inform people who are genuinely interested in Laklands. The thread becomes filled with more filler posts than actual posts related to basses.
In that kind of situation, multiquoting (or simply not responding to everybody) seems like a good idea to me. When responding substantively to different questions or topics, I can see where it makes more sense to respond in separate posts. I think this type of consideration will also make these threads more readable, which is something members have complained about previously.
Since this post is not bass-related and since off-topic chatter posts are discouraged in the Basses forum rules (see
here)
please, let's get back to discussion of Lakland Basses. As always, feel free to write any of the forum mods or admins with concerns.
