Wow. Lots of stuff going on here today. :hmm:

I be gettin' me new (to me) 55-02 in the marnin'. Gonna be busy swapping strings around. Chromes from the 55-60CS back to the 55-57 P/J thing. Fodera Nickels from the 55-57 P/J thing to the 55-02, then maybe some broken in nickels to the 55-60 (until I can get to the Carvin store for $15 nickels long enough to go though the body.:bassist:

I would if I had the coin, but that's not happening any time soon :crying:

I wish you ahd teh coinage as well! those ambers (small "a") are really sumptin!

Things just seem weird here.
Like the "vibe" has been killed.

:hmm:
:atoz:
:scowl:

Just a new VIBE that is all.....

BTW - for those of you who did not notice/didn't care..of just were simply not paying attention.....I pulled the sale of Woody...the GREAT bass I WAS gonna buy is no longer on the market so no reason to sell Woody...the person I was gonna buy it from was having pre-sellers remorse with GOOD reason....

And after spending some quality time comapring Jade and Woody, I have decided that they are different enough to keep.

And - Blue Velvet seems to be the name that is sticking for this wonderful piece of artwork:

Remember- using Multi-Quote lets you post just as much info as before. Only the post count is reduced.

when a user responds to every single post (substantive or not) that took place after his or her last one in separate posts, often in one word replies, it does not strike me as necessary. It serves to bury other threads in the forum and boost individual post count but doesn't inform people who are genuinely interested in Laklands.

For goodness sake, it's like the opinion is evolving that people are deliberately posting for the sake of their post count.
I, indeed, have said that a number of times about myself, but least expected was that someone would take my self-irony for the truth:rollno:

So what was what was the ex-seller selling? C'mon Doude, spill the beans :p

I never make the list when a thread is closed so post counts are not what I am after - good solid Lakland Porn is why I come here :D

Haha, you're not alone :D

Sorry folks, this doesn't happen to me often.
After two weeks of scheduling problems, and three hours in traffic to my favorite state (NOT!!!!), I finally picked up Amber.
Doug....did you ever play this thing?
Its like showroom new. I love that new bass smell.
I'll be honest, I wanted to see the former Blondie since her facelift I didn't even look at Amber there.

SCHWING!!!!!!

John, absolutely enormous (size 7) congrats!
Doug, I don't understand why [this happened], but the good thing is Amber is now in the hands of a good friend oooh how much I'd love to be that lucky person, and possibly will see more playing

And, she really deserved more pics! :)

Denis: not sure that D'addario makes any other flats besides Chromes... so I'm puzzled. But, either way, pay whatever it costs! They only get better w/ age.... you'll use the same set for many years.
Really? I may give them a try, only will try to get them for less... geeez, for MUCH less money. Will find out what kind of D'As beside Chromes they were talking to

I agree, Denis--flats feel that way to me, too. They're a little more forgiving of my left-hand technique. On the other hand, I find I need to focus a little more than usual on right-hand touch and timing, because the notes are shorter and fatter.
Exactly. So far I found one way to compensate lack of "fullness" - I pick over the fretboard when I need a thick, authoritative sound to fill when other instrument is playing solo. Think -94's 'sixties' J position w/ pan knob set to 11 o'clock

Nice man! 55-02 is going to be a nice addition!

Love that one Doug!

Hey is this where I can find qualitative information about Lakland Basses? :hiding:

:D

I, indeed, have said that a number of times about myself, but least expected was that someone would take my self-irony for the truth:rollno:

Posting for post count is completely lame. I'm usually at the top, but I just talk a lot:D

I never make the list when a thread is closed so post counts are not what I am after - good solid Lakland Porn is why I come here :D

Me too! (thinking of the porn I just removed)

how 'bout this one?

I hear that Sherwood Green BGs are fairly rare.
Just saw last night that someone was selling it in Russia. I wonder whom it belongs/belonged to

Very nice! I'd like that with tort please:D

just got this back from the factory. they replaced the body under warranty and were kind enough to leave out the pickguard holes :hyper:

they forgot to ship the case back  but i'm sure they'll fix that

[More Porn Removal]

Love it man! Decades without guards take on a whole different look!
