That's a fretted 55-01 Skyline with rosewood fretboard?
Enjoy....I have the fretless with ebony.
The color is a darker Charcoal Frost Metallic. This bass is a hybrid of the two basses that were stolen (one being a Lakland JO5, the other being a CFM Fender Precision) Aside from the custom finish, the painted headstock, & bone nut, everything about it is the same as any other of the rare 30 log basses. But I'm happy I have one of a kind now. Thanks to everyone to helped make this happen.

Just thought that I would share this with some fella's that can relate....
After going to 2 different GC's and a Sam Ash these last 2 weekends, and trying MANY different basses.... I just wanted to say. "I LOVE MY LAKLAND'S!!!!"

that bass is sick! i dont have a short scale what are the advantages/disadvantages of a short scale bass?
Comfortable is a very subjective thing.
However, in general a shorter scale creats a "darker, less focused sound", not to say that they sound muddy though... Haha, it's hard for me to explain,

Owen of the roots plays a short sixer and it sounds tight.
Everytime I see that guy from the Roots, I think of you Evan. You guys look like you could be brothers, at least to my eyes. Now I hear he plays shortscales??? Strange!
