Anyone know if the Skyline AJ's will be available with Blocks/binding? That would seal a preorder for me.
No blocks/binding, at least initially--that's the word from John P. Maybe at a later date?So charcoal and black cherry for the skyline aj? I awesome wanted tobacco burst but I dig charcoal. What about the blocks

I just bought a DJ5 with maple board.
Is it possible to get a RW boarded neck and just swap them?
Does Lakland still do these necks?

+1. I bet the last Skyline DJ was made something like 18 months ago, so chances are slim that there are any necks still hanging around the shop. But it doesn't hurt to ask. And they just packed up everything and moved last week, so they should be right on top of their inventory. They're no longer making DJ4s and 5s, so I think your best bet is to find someone who'll swap w/ you. I'd shoot for a same build-year swap if it was me.
Sweet! You don't see many LPB JO5s around, that's for sure.Anyway, today seems to be my lucky day.
After selling off all my Sadowskys and enjoying playing paassive basses again, I found another Lakie today: a LPB JO5 w. Fralins and a RW board.
So that makes 2 LPB Skyline 5 strings in a single day!!!!
oh man, that's a really great pair o' basses you've got there!
If you want to hear a really great, growly Decade sound, and an excellent bassline to boot, here you go:
