My DJ came back from Carl and Leo today, and it plays like a dream. Frets are now perfectly even and the action can get much lower than I'd ever want it. I'm so glad to be a Lakland Owner. Leo has been helpful and great every time I've talked to him, and Carl's work is impeccable; these two guys deserve all the accolades they receive.
Woot! You're right, those guys are great. Carl is an absolute master, IMO.

Stopped in a music store I used to work at today. To my surprise, I found they had a NOS DJ5 AND a NOS Bob Glaub both 2003 or 2004 models. I REALLY don't need these,...but I REALLY want to pick them both up!

Even though I just recently acquired a nice DJ5 in the same finish as the NOS one they have, I'd love to get it with the original aero's. My bass is loaded with Nordy's and a J Retro Deluxe pre,...so it's not really the same bass,...ya see??? :hiding: Wish me luck on getting this one by the wife,...she might not see my perfect logic in the same light as me. :rollno:

Get me their number if you don't pick up the DJ5 please?

So after staying away from the Joe Osborn basses for a couple years now, the new 55-60 Custom had its maiden voyage this weekend. It was killer! I was always afraid of these basses because I feared they wouldn't be as accessible inside that lower horn as the DJ's are. It is a little tighter but not restricting at all. Best of all the sound is just what I've loved with the DJ's in the past. Very happy for now! I may even like it better than my previous DJ5.

Very cool, Jason! Sometimes the DJ overshadows the Osborn with its flashy looks, but the JO is just as nice.

Nice. Congrats!! :bassist::bassist:
