First impressions were A) fairly wide neck, B) fairly small frets & C) it's an interesting maple fingerboard. Grain so subtle it looks almost artificial. But it's all real, of course. D) tuners are really very good for a 'licensed' product. Hard to discern from the US version. Gonna take a little time to tweak the setup to see if I can get it where I like it. So far though, so good.

no more excuses to get a second one.....OK - except for the fact that you have cash tied up in a yet to be delivered "other bass" and just had a baby..OTHER than that...No excuses (he he!!!)

potential soluaiton - "pre-sell" the Sadowsky! he he!!!

I have known a few poeple to do that...BUT i think you are more logical than that...MAYBE....just maybe...

This - while I have not yet found the right mix on my 55-02, that is MY problem, not the bass. And, I just put my 55-01 on the bench, to try to correct the crazy pot-touch crackle from when I put the FlexCore in it. Mike Pope recommended completing the missing [DEL]running an additional [/DEL] ground from the sleeve lug on the jack to one of the pots. Totally did the trick. I can't say enough about the product he's put out. It may replace the LH3 in one of my 55-02s soon.

0 dollars. GAS abated. For now. :hiding:

We just put FlexCores in two Laklands. Night and day difference.

FYI, the ground you installed was not an additional ground. With that side jack in your bass, there was no ground connection between the jack (the point where the preamp's ground connects to the cavity shield) and all of your controls. So the controls were electrically floating, which is not good. So you connected A ground where there was none.

This is a very common oversight with basses with side jacks. So when you mentioned it, I knew right away what it probably was. And it was easy to fix too!
