They may not be going. They are impressing me in my at-home comparisons I've been doing. Of course, anything is possible when that orange bass is considered.
He he he! I had a feeling your were going to go there

Thank you.
Starting 2012 with the big three.
Are more in store? We shall see.

Rack space might need to be opened up to add more Laklands.
Or...I could just get more racks.

I usually C&P the whole list, but ran into formatting problems this time. So I cut it off at 10.

I need to take new pics. I'll try to get some tomorrow, but it may be dark before I get the chance.
Yea I could spend all day walking around the B&H Store in Manhattan. Truly like a kid in the candy store.
Doude or Markus can confirm, but many references to the Glaub mention reverse geared tuners. Not sure if that was US only, Glaub only, or what.

This last pic shows a few that are now gone1) the tele bass prototype 2) one of the Decade 5er prototypes 3) a rare 35" scale BEAD 4-76 (stingray style in black) and 4) my skyline Glaub that had a matching headstock done by Pat Wilkins... one of my sexiest basses ever IMO. Markus' son now has it. The fretless 55-02 and Traci (tobacco burst 55-94) are still w/ me.

The US tuners on the Glaub and Osborn were vintage style reverse tuners. I am not sure if the US 44-60 and 44-64 carried on the tradition but I would assume they did.
If you hate reverse tuning just shoot me a PM and I will take the Glaub off your hands.
Tick Tick Tick...............
Is it January 10th YET????
IMpatiently waiting for my Scheff to land.
She is on the big brown truck on the long road from Arizona to New yawk.
Darn Holiday delays.
But at least it is underway and she arrives next tuesday the 10th

Way to go Dan! You need a gold Decade to compliment that Scheff lol.

Hey all, just pulled the trigger on a laky 4-07 that Trabeen was selling. Natural flame maple, rosewood and chi's.. oh my! lol It's making it's way over to me in New Zealand, I'll let y'all know how it goes when she gets here. Personally I can't wait to try the neck, cause I like the skyline's but I had an opportunity to try a fellow bassists JO usa and hollllllly, the neck felt sooo nice, satiny smooth and a perfectly rolled board.. and the other 'can't wait' aspect is the chi's.. don't get me wrong I like the bart's and lak's own 4-94 pup's but I have always been a fan of darkstars, and from what my ears tell me, these are basically stars but with a modern twist. Anyway, if there's a number flying around feel free to hit me with it.. or I'll wait till my 07 get's here.. too long.. to.. wait lol
oh and does anyone know what model hipshot d-tuner these can take?
Nice and subtle Johnny!!!
there is a decent looking black skyline in the classifieds ...not a US bass but....
maybe the "slow" change in temperatures (really hot to frigid) will not shock the neck and she will not need a set up when she gets there....you know....if it were shipped "fast" she might need a set up!
I REALLY think you will like this one Dan!!!

I have been watching it but it's for trade not for sale AND I am going to wait a bit to see if I can score a US one. If for some reason I wander into an older LPB Skyline Glaub then I will probably pick up another Skyline as a backup. That is my plan if I get a US one too but if I go that route I will get the Skyline sometime later this year.
And speaking of black Skylines....has this video been posted before?

Nice! Bass Club's a great store, Mark is a cool guy to deal with. Next time you plan to come up this way, contact Lakland and set up a time to stop by! They're all great folks there, and the shop isn't far from Bass Club's new digs.Over the Christmas holidays, I paid a visit to Bass Club Chicago and played five or six other Laklands. There are definitely more Laklands in my future, but there are so many lovelies to choose from that I'm not sure which one(s) it will be.
