gotta say yes at the moment.
This seems to have more oooomph and tonal range than the passive decade? Must be the humbuckers vs the singles?
I bet this would be a monster if it was left active back when.

More ooomph for sure--the singles pack a wallop, but the buckers are thermonuclear. More comparable in "fatness" to the Dark Stars, to my ears. More tonal range than the singles, I'm not sure.

Anyways, I've always loved that bass. Congrats, Dan!

Quick question...do many of you Lakland fanatics have more than one of same model with a different specs?

I'm considering another 55-94 but with a BEM fretboard...has anyone done this or similar?

You can't judge a Pantone color by what it looks like on screen. All kinds of variables (color modes, screen temp, lighting in room, graphics card, type of monitor, etc, etc.) You need to look at a Pantone book in person.

Pat gets his colors from car paint suppliers so you can tell him Ferrari Red.

Definitely give BEM a try, it's my favorite fretboard wood sonically and visually.

But still married...and jumped into the Lakland brand headfirst.
