As soon as my 2 sell I am all over this US Decade like flies on poop.

Hey did you ever roll that cool stealthy black skyline ya had listed on here? That looked awesome...black bridge and all.![]()
Nudge, nudge say no more... got you covered.
Actually ended up keeping it and glad I did. RumbleBeeAL got the black bridge though. Funny thing is, I don't miss the black bridge as I found that it altered the tone too much for my taste, my guess is that it was the paint/coating on the saddles. Made it more mellow and less aggressive.

hahaha!!
Yeah I have, haven't joined up yet on account of not actually having the bass.. just.. yet.. dammit.. but I will do.. and then order a laky gig bag, and get a d-tuner sorted, and it's a shame lakland don't offer t-shirts for sale.. or do they?
oh and thanks a bunch fer the number, gonna go put it on now and run down the street nekkid
Bob played on the actual recording, too, 35 years ago.![]()
Thanks for the vid, Johnny! I had that album on vinyl, I need to revisit it.
HAHAH!! busted :scowl:
Well I would be shoppin for one awesome bachelor pad....hahaha!!
(After divorce court)
A place to entertain, blow things off the walls and anger neighbors with all the Laklands I would pick up in Chicago...too funny.
Mmmm...Chicago Pizza...yum! Doug just sent me 6 of them!!! Thanks again Doug! So so good!!
Hey man, we need time this Chi town trip...and head there at that same time to catch Greg for brews and pizza and bass blaaabing.
See ya there! hahaha!
Thanks. Like I said before, I'm going to have to add a black fretless to keep up with thehess (the new keeping up with the joneses)
We should try to time it out and put it together for like May or June...I can promote my being there in Chicago and take bookings and sell tickets to a workshop. All about making the advance plans bro...
Hard for me with some bigger clients because lots of things come up like ads, packaging, etc. but I'll see what I can do!
Thanks bro. Been thinking about sparkle-fying my 44-02D but fretting over covering the deluxe quilt top.... hmmm
A GTG in the second city would be fantastic. Though I am more of a Chicago italian beef sandwich guy. If we did a meet up, we need to go play Whirlyball.![]()
all this pizza talknow I want one lol.. and after sinking all my $$ into my new bass, It's gonna be a tough call.. hmm suppose I can forego the ramen noodles fer one night.. damn you people, I'm trying to exercise self control lol

Next bass craving: Black 44-01 or Decade, fretless, matching headstock with Chi's. Now just need to figure out how to make this happen.
Btw, if you want a truly unique finish, contact Marty Bell or view his website. Also, if Markus has time (for a fee) he can help w/ color choices and designs. He designed my stingray and will hopefully be able to help w/ my 44-02 color scheme and design. RealGoldInc made my pickguard.

Lakland owners groups commandment #1:
NEVER COVER A DELUXE TOP!
we had one a couple of years ago....might have had one this year 'cept for the Lakie move.....hopefully next year!!!
basspraiser said:NICE JJ....not my style but nice anyways!!!
My daughter always goes gaga over that bass...
you can order on line....Giordano's Pizza or Lou Malnati's both deliver "long distance"..... he he.....sorry for the extended temptation
PS - you may want to edit your orignal ppost so the Mods are not all over you!!! (jus' sayin'!)
argh.. all this pizza talknow I want one lol.. and after sinking all my $$ into my new bass, It's gonna be a tough call.. hmm suppose I can forego the ramen noodles fer one night.. thanks people, I'm trying to exercise self control lol
Same experience here. A link to the for sale thread is ok in my book.

That's the trouble, not sure exactly what I want at this point - although I'm almost 100% sure it will be a fretless Lakland.
Here's a couple of mockups I threw together this evening. I'm going back in forth in my head between a 4-Chi or a PJ with Delano large pole pickups.
Could use some input regarding the configuration, perhaps an impromptu LOG poll. And yes it will be all black
