John East does as well, but like I said, someone did mention that it wasn't quite to spec. Not sure on the details, perhaps it's just a screw hole alignment issue or something of that nature. Or maybe it's been corrected since, don't know.
That was me and I have discussed this with Mr. East. He acknowledged some past difficulties with the different models and I clearly detailed the issue with pics a few pages back in this thread. There is a minor fit issue that requires a little reshaping of the control hole. Two minutes with a Dremel and you're good to go. A quick look through this thread should get you what you need to know. If not, PM me and I'll get that to you.

This will not fit a DJ as they have the curved control plate. East makes a special model for the DJ's or did at one time.
Correct, Audere makes special "guts" for DJ's & you have to use your existing control plate which needs 2 holes drilled in it. 1 for the Z switch & the other for the battery light.
Yea the guy selling the East, just posted it is not for a DJ.

It seems that getting a Classic Audere pre like yours and parking it in the Decade will be the cheapest & easiest. And maybe just leaving the DJ passive as it is for the moment.
Right now, about to get into a possible rolling of 4 basses to buy some different ones...so that comes first and thennnnnnn onto the pre amp thang later on
Couldn't you do the same thing with the guts from the J-retro in the classifieds? Or would the body of the DJ still need to be routed? Just a thought.
I suppose it "could", but I believe the circuit board is also curved (or so I'm told), so I'd have to put a "do-it-your-selfers beware" of potential mods on that project.

That is quite a house cleaning.....knowing you they will sell quickly.
I was not sure you were serious when first mentioning 4 basses....that number is quite a head spinner
