GREAT basses!
is the serial number "stamped into the headstock"? is it black or not?
just curious...
It's stamped into the wood, just like my US BG. DJ25! I believe they only made 40 or so... Why do you ask?

That's the answer! Stand up comedy! You'll make enough in no time!
you've never been bashful Tat, so that screaming teal should suit you very well.
they are sweet!
they do make the GAS-O-meter go wild...don't they?
how is the jam going?
New bass day! Heres a (borrowed) pic of my fretless 55-94. It's my first Lakland as well as my first fretless. The feel of the neck is ridiculous!
Anyone know what an approximate date for a 55** serial number would be?

Nice score, should be either a 1998 or 1999, this is a good reference: Invalid Link Removed
Hey congrats!! NBD is always a great day! and especially on TGIF![]()

Cool thanks! Im surprised its that old. Its got rounds but the neck is barely scuffed. This bass really is a dream to play though fretless is a bit challenging.

So this one came with a creme lakland case with red lining. Would that be an original style case if the bass was made in 99?
Welp.
After a day or so....
Has been a bazillion interesting trade offers.
A few near sales...
But this puppy is still up for grabs![]()
Just passing on the good word to my Lakland club bros.
