I'm gonna say yes to the original case...I bought one @ '99

Does the case have a textured vinyl covering?

I bought another one last year and while it had a whiter case, it was smooth...both had the red/burgundy interior IIRC

Depends on the "creme".
The original cases were a bit darker and did not feature the Lakland logo. Yours is probably that.
Then they were replaced by lighter color off white with the Lakland logo.
And as of last year they come in a tweed case.

Congrats on the bass, and don't forget to log on to Link Removed for in-depth info and discussions on all things Lakland.

Cool I'll check that out!

The case doesn't say Lakland, just has a G&G tag. It's not light colored, definitely cream with textured covering. I guess it's probably original or close enough.

So rich looking!! Beautiful! Congrats.

Thanks! The quilt tops on these are mesmerizing especially in person. Looks like you have a shiny one too in your avatar.

See you there then.
Yes, G&G is the company that used to make those. Definitely an original case.

Yes, mines tobacco burst from 2000 and it's my first Lakland.... it's a lifer.

The 5er from Marlus IS a lined 5er....

maybe tomorrow I can shoot a few pics...overcast and cruddy today...was going to wait for a bit...:ninja:...but maybe I can do an interim pic....

just do not expect Markus of Dan- quality pics....:D

Doug, I think I'm going to need to see a new family photo from you. I think a lot went on while I was too busy with the baby to come to TB for a few weeks back there.

I'm also very interested to know about JJ's new axe...

What I like about that feet less 5, aside the fact that it looks epic, is that it's got lines. When I finally jump back into fret less, it's going to have to be a lined board.

I've been told that my comedic descriptions of my dating escapades would make me extremely wealthy. Unfortunately, I think they would also make me extremely undateable. I'm not quite ready to give up on that part of life just yet. I mean. After all. I'm not even 50 yet.

:eyebrow: makes me want to hear more...but back to the fray.....

played my 55-76 last night at practice...man I love the sound of that bass in a band setting! alone it is knda "mid-rangy" (it is a MM clone after all!),...also, it sounds different through the system at church than it does through my amp....it sits VERY well in the mix without being overbearing...

congrats on the sale....

wishes for strength during teh wait!

HUGE Congrats on the "custom" ordered Lakland! LOL
And also congrats on the sale of the 44-02.
:hyper:

Thanks guys, yep pretty happy about finally ordering a "Black Bart Special" (was going to say a BB "Custom" but that word ain't taken to kindly to around these parts) and glad also, at least part of it, is paid for with the sale of the other.

I guess you could say I am In inter Laklands.

You're always welcome to ask in PM. Even I find some of the dating drama highly amusing now that there's some time between the incident and today.
