Lakland Owners Group #58

I didn't read the entire thread to see what Kinetic Shadow is getting done, but I just had Pat do a strip & refin on my bass and it took 5 weeks. (and the July 4 holiday was in there, too) He estimated 4-6 weeks up front. He received my bass on June 12, and sent me an email either last Monday or Tuesday to let me know it was done.

In addition to the work mentioned above, he also did an electronics check & setup.

Thanks, it's out for paint from the Lakland shop. Starting to get a time frame here of about what they said - just in time for Fall.

That's a beauteous quartet, Dan!

I'll second that, definitely keepers... right? ;)

Still on the fence about making the Decade active

DO IT!!!

Are the Jeannie pickguards the only ones that will fit A skyline Duck Dunn or will a generic work? I'm mainly concerned about the pickup route, I can bore screw holes in the new guard.

I had Roger do a white pearl PG for a diff brand p-bass for me. He had me send the existing PG in that he could copy. At the time he said that there are so many p-shaped PG that he doesn't guess any more. Just sharing my experience. And the PG was great, just what I had in mind and he'll drll the holes to exactly fit too.

Was logged in to photobucket, so posting some Lakland visual love.
The 4 I still have in the stable.
:D

A 55-94 with a maple board with that blue body is my dream bass. That blue is just gorgeous ;-).

Has anyone else noticed that Lākland owners are better photographers on the average? Wow, I'm proud to be a part of this group. Well done, folks!

Sorry to "bring down the average" as far as photgraphy skills go.......in my house the wife is the photography buff.....so I am absolved of that duty........I'll try and get her to take a pic of my Lakies next weekend........so I won't be a weak link in the chain:hiding::p

Don't have a clue if this image finished uploading. Anyway, me and Candy on our first date out.

very nice!

I like the tort as well...

Really, I was gonna ditch it for a gloss black one. Anyone happen to know if there's a place to get replacement truss rod covers? The white pearl seems out of place.

keep them both! - you can make the bass look very different just by switching the guard...

Very cool!
I like the pick guard on it.
Might add a pickguard to mine one day.
The tort guard looks great on the CAR.
:bassist:

I agree....hmmm..what color would you do? maybe a white pearloid would look nice....

I would stick with either Jeannies or ave Lakland cut you one....they may need the "old one" to assure proper pickup placement...

If I had not bought that Ray classic from you, might not have tried out the Lakland brand.
Glad it worked out as it did :D :bassist:
