ahhh...just figured it out! I like the place...so does the rest of the family..>WHY did the stock drop so much!

don't feel "so bad"....my kid's college funds are WAY under water!

we put money away for my son since he was like 5 ...had to pay capital gains tax one year because teh fund chnaged over an made money....when he started college the fund was UNDERWATER...he is now out and the money all gone.

daughter's funds tracking the same...

as for number 3? don't even look at it anymore...should really stop putting money in I guess...

Ouch, man. Might be time to sock the $ away in passive funds. Even doing what I do, I very rarely mess around with individual stocks--too much work and risk for me.

Don't misunderstand, I got all the retirement money locked away in very safe, boring stuff. The "global hedge fund" trading account is the bass funding account, and that's the one that got smashed today. Not the end of the world, just for the day.

to answer Doug's question, when a high priced-to-perfection growth stock starts decelerating its growth rate = immediate 25% downward move (or more) in the price. Happens all the time, and i usually sidestep them, not this time.

I can make a template myself and have it done locally, or have local bass wizard Michel Fournel come up with something in Montreal. Maybe when I have some more free time. I just relocated back to Montreal after 18 years in NY and am dealing with moving details and a new job, so even playing time is suffering until the dust settles.......I'll revisit the 'guard project in the fall. For now I'm just marvelling at how sweet the passive Chi's sound through both of my rigs: Mama Bear is a Walkabout head>>>Greenboy Bassic 115 and Papa is an M9>>>LDS 15/6. It can go from old school grindy phatness to massive modern hammer.....I'm lovin' it!

I wish I could give you more specific guidance, Brian, but...it depends. When Pat W. is busy, the body can be in his shop for a month or close to it. Then the guys still have to put all the hardware on when it gets back after working on the neck, etc. I think it was 2 months from that point for mine, maybe a little less. Exciting stuff!

Maybe I need you or Gary to manage my portfolio.....even my "managed funds" manage to lose out..... :(

You would get paid in lakies! You get 1% of the annual increase set aside in a lakie fund and get the lakie of your choice when the fund gets big enough

I know I know....against laws since you guys are not certified but who cares? Right?
