I received the rest of my cabs today...this is the entire rig...for now, until I find the JO that I want. This is the BEST sounding and versatile amp, bass, cab combination that I have ever encountered.

Think of the tracks that JPJ, Dunn, and Babbit did. That's what the Dunn sounds like. Yes, I know that JPJ used a Jazz bass...

Hello Fellow Lakland Owners,

As of right now the LOG site is down due to an issue with the hosting company that the admins and Marcel are trying to resolve. Apparently the host has been hacked and the site is redirecting to sites that will download suspected malicious content. Google has flagged the site and a warning message will be presented when trying to visit the site. Rest assured the guys are doing their best to get this taken care and will report on this more as they learn more. Thanks for your patience.

EDIT: Please note that other sites being hosted on the same server with this host are affected as well, this does not appear to be a targeted attack on the LOG site.

Open source is open source... Even hackers have access to the code base and vulnerabilities these type solutions inherently include.

I'd trust Google's analysis/findings and heed the warning they provided or else ensure your internet security application is up to date.

Thanks, Brian. This definitely appears to be an issue with our host (and this is the one we switched to a few months ago to speed up the LOG site).

Rest assured, this is being worked on, but those with the technical know-how (not me :o) have very limited time at the moment. Please be patient.:)

Here's an update from Marcel/macribas, who many of you know is the LOG webmaster (he's on a plane right now):

"Site is clean and the Google blacklist removal has been requested. It can take up to 10 hours to happen.
I have re-enabled the site and once you get past the warnings from the browsers, you should be able to use it normally."

Hey all you Lakland experts, I was restringing my 55-02 today and noticed a piece of plastic coming out of a tuner. Should I be worried about this? It seems to work as normal, however when there is no string tension on the tuner the shaft wobbles quite a bit.

just looks like some errant wrapping material. I don't think its a problem. wobble unstrung is usually not a problem, as long as all the screws are tight. wobble once strung is a little more serious a problem. that's the extent of my webz diagnostic experience with tuners.

Thanks for the quick reply. It came from within the tuner (it seems like a bushing. It had grease on it), but like you said if it isn't affecting the function, I probably shouldn't worry about it. This thing is my baby though, sometimes I can't help it.

Some other Lakland goodies, I got a chance to hang out with Lakland endorsing artist Ryan Stasik from Umphrey's McGee. He even let me play his workhorse 55-94!
