I imagine the radar signature for this bass is smaller than a B2 stealth bomber... Nice!

Thank you, might be smaller than the Aurora, but you didn't hear that from me.

oh wow, Brian, maybe I should hold on to Lurch, your prototype for this black badd ass PJ.

I would. You could always add another pickup ;)

WOW!! Absolutely stunning. Is that neck as narrow as it looks? I wanna play that. :D

Yep, it's 1.5 at the nut. Just got done with my second serious session and I am floored by the feel of the bass, plays slicker than goose... well you get the point, action is spot on.

Mmmm...P-Retro....I need to try one of those.

Yes, you do, makes a P-bass much muchier - just ask Gary.

Possibly. Black is slimming, after all.:D

Not only narrow, but Carl put his magic touch on the profile as well - very comfortable and fast.

Just more awesomeness BB. Is the headstock finish matte or glossy like the body?

Thanks Nat! The headstock is more of a matte/satin finish. The entire maple neck was stained black - just like Doug's. But alas, Carl said these would be the last and only two necks he would do that treatment on. I guess the process is a bit of a bear.

Very cool! And I just realized it has a pick guard! The longer you look at it the more details come out.

NBD...2007 Lakland Skyline Duck Dunn, MIK, purchased from a fellow TBer. Just arrived tonight, pretty much plays itself, killer tone!! My Fenders are jealous.

Can't wait to pull the PG and see which pups are in there.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the playability. The neck and fretwork on my Skyline Duck are perfect. That's one of the reasons it's the only Precision style bass I've been really happy with. The vintage frets are great, too. Slides just sound great, even with my monkey fingered technique. ;)

Congratulations on your purchase!

Congrats! All my Fenders went bye-bye after I started playing Laklands, I just like the neck and frets better. Jumbo's yech!
