Don't know about Bert and Ernie, and the orientation of those basses is hardly my business. BL21 can feel them up and play with them accordingly. :hiding:

Yes, I like helping. :help:

And yes, when plenty of coffee co-mingles with down time, this is the stuff that can result. Not sure if that is good or bad, but it is what it is. :D

I have a friend at work that plays bass that I sold a couple of 4 string Laklands to a few months ago (I don't play 4 string much anymore - but I did keep one 44-01). A couple of weeks ago, knowing that I really like the Lakland 5 string necks, he asked me if I wanted to buy his 55-01. Since I am in the middle of changing jobs I told him to wait until April when I am in my new job.

So I get to work this morning, and leaning up against my desk is a gig bag. I immediately knew it was the 55-01. This is an unfair sales practice, since he knows that once I've seen it and played it I'll have to buy it.....:D

So, I brought it home, and it immediately felt at home in my hands (I sold my only 55-01 about 5 years go and really miss it). So here it is, my soon to be new Lakland bass:

He'll take $500 for it, which I think is a fair price. So now I'm out $500....:D He'll have to wait a week though, until I get my severance check from my soon to be ex employer.

I have a tort pickguard that I had bought for my previous 55-01 but never used, so I am thinking about putting it on this bass. It is a little plain as it is, but I think it will look great with the pickguard.

So here it is with the pickguard:

'tis what 'tis!

Okay not plug and socket, but how about Jake and Elwood

there ya go!!!

LOL, there have been some hilarious names. I guess they dont have to be male and female. A badass ass kickin male duo might be much better.

I am sure you will come up with something soon....see what their personalities are like...

darn it!

don't you hate the "high pressure" sale!??

argh!!!! sorry this "has to happen".....and he is selling it to you at such a low price....make him raise it! :D

go tort guard for sure...

and enjoy the bass!
