Yikes! Good Luck with that. With more rain coming up there I think I would move my basses to higher ground, just in case.

Haha, yeah. I just needed a little cash to cover an AR I purchased to make the wifey happy. I'm a sucker for CAR, and I do love what I'm hearing so far! Plus it keeps me in the Lakie family

As long as they're all black she's happy - thought about getting a purple one once and I got "the Look."
Can't believe I'M saying this, but I think the matte black would detract from the bass.
I seem to remember a US HB with a black PG and thought it looked nice. CAR P basses look good with matte black PG's...

Black perloid PG, and get a truss cover to match?
FYI, Carl Pedigo was curious how that tort PG was mounted. He fiddled with it briefly but couldn't quite figure out how it was attached. Perhaps something under the pickup surrounds?

That's correct, they come stock without one. My CAR HB with Dark Stars doesn't have a guard, though I've thought about adding one.
Kind of off topic, but I'm jonesin for an upgrade for my AJ. I love the Hanson pickups but I want more growl. Any suggestions on 5 string pickup replacements. Always wanted to try Bartolini's . Maybe it's not even an upgrade. Help!!
My US HB with dual Dstars did not come with one either.
I honestly like it best as it is without one.
The Dstar pups are the visual "star of the show" on That bass by themselves.
They look so cool on that bass.
I would think parking that little bit of plastic next to them would take away from how cool they look on their own.
