How are you getting your signal out (to the house and your monitor - IEM or wedge)? Perhaps something like a REDDI would help the perception of your tone? I don't have one myself, but I've read enough posts/reviews of it to understand that it's very well liked in professional circles.

Simply put the REDDI is awesome. It gives a heft to all the notes and makes it just sit in the mix great.

I would bet against it. They used to put two Chi humbuckers in a -94 body (it was called the 44/55-07, there are a few of them around), but they stopped making the Chi humbuckers due to production problems.

As for the traditional -94 pickup arrangement, Chi humbuckers and Chi single coils don't play well together, I was told, due to something related to the magnets used (that an electronics ignoramus like myself can't properly explain).

Yeah, too bad.
I can't begin to tell you how bad I want one of the 44-07s though. It hurts me a little everyday when I wake up and there is not one in the house :bawl::D

So happy I was lucky enough to grab a mint 44-07.
The pair of chi buckers KICKS A$%$#@*&^!
Would love another in a different color with an ebony board.
Mister Gary nabbed the brother of mine. One serial number apart. ( With an ebony board I might add) lol

Even busting out the bank account does not help in this case.
It is really a matter of just finding one to buy.
Truly a needle in a haystack it seems. :eyebrow:

usually it does...but if there is not a 44-07 for sale anywhere all the money in the world does not mean jack.
Timing is everything.
Saving up the funds and sitting on them until that elusive 44-07 surfaces for sale.
Then BAM!! Buy it!
I got lucky and stumbled into mine.
I knew ZERO about the Lakland brand.
And I saw a 44-07 surface and liked it's look...Markus told me rare bass...good price... make a move and I did.:hyper:

It's a 60's (1966) so a set of Aguilars would be cool, but I doubt it'll be enough. And if it doesn't work I've bought aset of Aguilars for nothing :D
