Is there ever going to be Chis for the 94/02 series?

not "really"....because of the way they are built they cannot put a single coil CHI and a humbucker together...trust me I already asked ( a few times!!!)

the only way would be to get dual singles or dual humbuckers (alla 44-07)

I would bet against it. They used to put two Chi humbuckers in a -94 body (it was called the 44/55-07, there are a few of them around), but they stopped making the Chi humbuckers due to production problems.

As for the traditional -94 pickup arrangement, Chi humbuckers and Chi single coils don't play well together, I was told, due to something related to the magnets used (that an electronics ignoramus like myself can't properly explain).

Yeah, too bad.
I can't begin to tell you how bad I want one of the 44-07s though. It hurts me a little everyday when I wake up and there is not one in the house

Carl says he can build CHI humbuckers (if asked nicely).....he says building 1 set at a time is "doable" but building production level quantities is an issue...

I only recently acquired my 2008 JO, and it is in pristine condition, but without the pickup cover. I'm one of those annoying types who get a bit fussy over originality and completeness. Can anyone tell me how I could get one of these covers?

Oh, that bass is available for purchase at your neighborhood bass guitar store... Actually looks great with the maple, but Goldie's fretboard is much, much nicer than that one.

Also... wait until you see what else I just acquired...

are you thinking about a refin of the shoreline gold? if that makes you keep it..HECK YEAH!

Got the collection down from 16 recently to 9 and now down to only 6 left standing.
You can see heavily favoring US Laklands hahaha

So... file this away in your "man people do crazy things with basses" file. I was noticing a strange tonal responses around the 7th fret on my gold Lakland and what I would describe as a "tiny sound" I took a look and the neck was srtraight and everything, it was perplexing. So I decided I would remove the neck and make some adjustments. When I removed the neck, a shim fell out. But not just any shim, a METAL shim. Got the neck back installed and got the action nice and low and the neck is in an adjustment that is far more reasonable.

Weird!!! And, from my experience, totally unnecessary! No US Lakland (that I've owned) had or needed a shim.

yea man, it is unreal nice. Zebra wood top...mahogany body..purple heart accents...rock maple neck...marker less ebony board...brass bridge and nut. Gold tuners..matched headstock... super light and killer tone!

Hehe, I don't own one, but they are amazing. My advice: Save your pennies, 'cause I bet one will come up for sale sooner rather than later.
