OH NO!
So, I got my refins back today, which were great. Short review...Wilkins does a more pro job, but I like Marty better and would pay less and wait less again over going with Pat. Even though there were some minor details of flaw here and there...
but on to the OH NO!
My darkstar hollowbody had apparently the loosest solder connections ever, one by one they keep breaking. I can't exactly figure out what went to where...can anyone send me a photo of the guts of theirs? Or maybe link me to a schematic that would work?
It has a three way selector, the two pups and a small switch that's not meant to do anything...there are a lot of wires that lead to nowhere too. How confusing!
This is the best I can do right now. I have had limited time at night and have spent those free moments playing this guy and not photographing it. Stunning bass all around and the neopunch is not as aggressive as I remember. It might stay in there.

Would all that wiring be the same for his Darkstars?
Either way, that is a tight space to work in for any repairs or changes, hope the leads are long enough to pull the harness out attached to do any soldering work outside of the cavity.

I think it'll be the same, at least what's going on with the pots. Thank you SO MUCH, by the way! I'll investigate after work.

Quick, dumb question: For the LH-3 preamp, is that attached to a circuit board? Or is it more free-form?
The reason I ask is, were I to get a 4-94 or 44-02, I might like to re-order / change the knob layout / location...but I imagine that might not be possible if it's on a circuit board...or at least a huge hassle.

In other news, the glaub is KILLER. lollipop tuners vs clover. I'll do a headstock shot later.
The HB doesn't actually have the bridge or knobs attached yet but I set em on for the shot![]()
I'll go into the details of why I felt that Marty's job wasn't up to Pat's par later but I wanna say that I fully endorse Marty and I will do business with him again. The details aren't huge but I'll let you guys know.
