Thanks Nat. Not quite sure what Mr. East had in mind originally, but that's about what I use it for. The goal of this one was to create a nice little slap machine, mostly double thumb, hence the lighter gauge strings, and it just makes it more convenient to "set it and forget it." No messing about when I need to flip over to a more bridge based sound that's dialed in.

Those are the Modern knobs only available with John East preamps. They are not standard issue from Lakland.

Sound is a little more modern than your average JO. The 4494 type pickups give it a bit more punch and the J-retro, well you know...

They seem to have no rules.....

We have a couple of younger kids ( high school) st church and I must admit to picking up a thing or 2 from them ...

We found out a couple of weeks ago that my wife had cervical cancer. The surgery was yesterday and I have not been able to sleep between hospital, kids and managing work via smart phone. The good news is that they are positive that they got everything out and that it had not spread. We are waiting on pathology to confirm.

So when we get pathology back, I'm drinking a bottle of whiskey either way.

Thoughts are with you, it takes a lot out of a person dealing with all that.
