Premiere looks like a fun store. I like their website.

You must set aside a good amount of time when you go to the store, because everyone there is friendly, enjoys talking, and there are new toys to try out every time you go there.

Yeah, and the Laklands sell almost as fast as they can be shipped to Premier.

...and since Lowendmafia started the Lola's and Lakland's trend, here is my Lola and Lakland.

Lola is my favorite out of the bunch.

You have a great Lakland family. I really like that spalted maple top, it was worth it for you to look around a bit to get just the right top.

I can't believe we haven't been talking about the new US models here (yes, yes, I know LOG... LOG etc... there are only so many hours in the day)

Are they going to have Quarter-sawn necks w/ Oil like the other US basses or will they be US made Flat Sawn?

I love my skyline 55's... I've got them dialed in very well, but I notice that US models the harmonics "pop" better than on my skylines... something I attribute to the stiffness of the quarter sawn neck...

I'm (in the minority, I know) not a HUGE fan of CAR, and I'm already sunburst heavy in my collection, but I think the Natural could make me part ways with my kids college fund.

Hope I'm using the iPhone app correctly. I'm trying to decide between Lakland AJ 5 fretless and a 55-02 Deluxe fretless. I have several fretted Lakland instruments but no AJ as yet. I'd be grateful for any feedback. Thanks!

As a new member to the club (just picked up a sweet 44-64. Maple fingerboard, sunburst with mint pickguard, 1.75" nut with, no way this weighs over 8.5 lbs). I'm wondering which D tuner to get HE6C 3/8"? or 1/2"?

Tooth back??? No thanks! it was a wisdom tooth....I "had" to go to the dentist and doctor for "permission" to get the bass...I actually have a good amount of follow up to do...dental-wise BUT that is pretty expensive....more so than 2 new US Lakies if I do it all.

Oh man, I just imagined a waiting line of LOGgers at the dentist's, all burning with one ache, all itching with one disorder...

not to derail...BUT:

what year is your T-40? (mine was an '82)
color? (mine was black and maple)
nick name? (mine was "the Tank")

Sorry to continue the derail and I hope I dont get you sued or anything BUT
my current T40 is a 79- early model based on the serial #
color is your basic natural/maple
No nick name officially ( But I do refer to it as the Warclub on the occasional night we gig at a less-than-reputable place.)

But I really wish I had my original one back.

I had the uber-rare sienna burst!! It was probably an 80 or 81 because I bought it used in about 83. My dad used to take pics of me practicing and when I took a good look at the ones from that bass, I literally gasped when I realized it was a sienna burst.

Oh, and getting back on the Lakland track- I might have a buyer for the T20. If this guy's in, I could have my Lakland by late next week!

I'm with you 100% there. There is nothing like the loyalty of a German Shepherd. Except for the slobbery kisses of our Mastiff mix puppy, Zeppelin.

generally the balance is pretty good. no major neck dive to speak of.
if anything, on a strap it hangs close to perfectly horizontal, but that's the worst it gets.
