All the US JOs that I have played have been way heavier than they needed to be. That said, my Glaub and the Skyline Duck Dunn that I used to have are both fairly light weight.

I don't really mind weight so much, in fact I get a little freaked out when basses are too light.
NSD (new strap day)
The LOG has a killer strap maker, and John is his name! I promise to get a pic of this on one of my Laklands ASAP, but this is the bass I bought it for... so enjoy the schmexiness ;-D.

What us that sexy white & black musical contraption?
Im back in.....just got a 00' 4-94C. I had a 99' 55-94D for 12 years.....it was my main player up until last year. Really cant hang with 5er's any more. I like the simplicity of the Classic. Fit/finish is perfect. Fret work is flawless on this one.

I really love the Rosewood knobs on the 55-01...I'm thinking about Ebony knobs for the 55-02.

Thought I would share a couple of modded 5501s with the group. The first one is a trimmed down body that I sanded down to trim off some of the 10 lb 11 ounces that it used to be. It's now 9 lbs 12 ounces.
Lane Poor pickups
Wilkins Black Grain finish
Creme knobs
Aguilar OBP3 with active passive switch and mid selector 400/800 switch.
It sounds absolutely spectacular.
