I'm in the same boat... There was a time when I was always in triple digits, helping to lead the charge. It's funny how life gets in the way sometimes.

Hah, good eye on the case. Inside is my Dargie Delight I Sterling HH. It's not from 2008 but it's a worthy funky match IMO!

Yea that case stands out in a crowd. As does the Lakland white case..
Both are very cool.

I KNOW the feeling man....almost had an amber alert posted about me late last week myself....(thanls to Tom).

Dude. I'm sitting here in Ontario Airport in the baggage terminal with a sign that says "HoldSG-Talkbass". I've been here for almost 2-1/2 hours just because I wanted to try his NV115...I guess he thought I was joking about flying in.

Whacko manager of the venue tonight is insisting we use a plexi shield around the ELECTRONIC drum set. And he has us positioning our amps at the front of the stage facing backwards.. I'm turned down so low I can't hear the difference between a B and a C. Yay.

OK...just spent the day (and I mean the DAY!) at Ikea...no way it is a quick shopping trip!....minimum of 3 hours every time...even with 1-2 things to buy.

We went for a bed and dresser for my daughter....

well...we got a HEADBOARD (with a cool slide out mini-bookcase/drawer thingy) and....a bunch of other stuff...no dresser...she is going "modular" with various storage devices...those Swedes sure are creative!

I ended up spending over $500 on "stuff"....new kitchen under-cabinet lighting, a light fixture for daughter's room, storage devices, etc.....BUT NO LAKIES (or Saabs....)

I saw a very cool kitchen work area I "need"....just gotta figure out how to get it into the current kitchen set up...not easy....the 2 things I "HATE" ....really HATE about our house is a 2 car garage and NO way to go bigger and the kitchen layout... (I love to cook "almost" as much as I like Lakies)....just not enough work space.....the counter I saw was less than $400 and would be a life saver.....it just takes up room....

....and of course a great Swedish lunch....great meatballs and a crayfish appetizer (for me)...did not know the Swedes were into Crayfish....did not know they were even crayfish outside of the USA...shows you my ignorance.

daughter had soup and my wife had a great salad with 'stuff" on it...she is trying to be healthy...we shared an excellent rich chocolate cake for dessert.

...I love putting together Ikea stuff being an engineer..it is a pure pleasure....tried putting together stuff from other countries (usually crap my mom buys) and it is a pain in the arse and takes forever...and NEVER fits together....always gaps etc...Ikea stuff fits like a glove and is ingenious.....

I have been there for business once...would LOVE to go back.

You Yankees make me laugh...its a Crawdad, Mudbug or Crawfish.

Are you sure it wasn't meant to be a langoustine they eat a lot of those in Scandinavia. They look like mudbugs but not as tasty.

I have eaten my share if crawdads...or mud bugs or whatever you wanna call them...and these were them....

Albeit "fancied up" with a Slaw and a special like baked pastry.... but THESE WERE THEM !

I have also had the other...you are right. .not as tasty

How is Ontario? Doing any ahem....site seeing (or model seeing as the case may be)?

I think my favorite was the DJ5...it's got so much umph! The Glaub is easier to play though, mostly because I've only ever had 4 strings.

Yeah, I've come back to 4 strings after playing 6s and 5s for nearly 2 decades. They're easier and more fun.. for me anyways .

They're easier, but its amazing how balanced sounding the fiver is, even with balanced tension strings on the four.

My 55-02 came with balanced tension strings, which is a concept that I couldn't imagine a noticeable difference in, and I was very surprised by how they felt. I'm sold on the concept.
