Last time I was there the guy from the shop next door ( who builds very expensive and classy pool cues) showed up and asked me who I was.....he said if Carl was building me a bass I HAD to be a famous bass player...I kept telling him I was really a nobody but he would not believe it
He told me that when I left Carl would tell him who i was and all of the albums i played on....i told him he would be very disappointing!
BTW.....Sept 14th..."the EXPERIENCE" plays Heritage fest in Dundee Illinois....at 10 AM... ALL are welcome!

Well.....it WAS approved by the state Senate and house BUT it is "delayed" a year or 2 in order to allow people to get " trained"......who knows.....
The rules are weird.......for example...you CANNOT carry a gun out in the open....it HAS to be concealed....huh?
SC has concealed carry law, but you also can't open carry even if you have your permit for concealed carry. Virginia (my home state) has both, and no permit is required to open carry (though you must be of age, etc.).
I'm all for allowing people to open carry (the whole, an armed society is a polite society), but I think that it's foolish to do so. It kind of singles you out, plus most people who do open carry use non-locking holsters...morons...
In Texas the concealed carry class is now 4-6 hours. But no open carry yet. This makes it easier to protect the Lakies when on gigs.

Wow, I actually really like that! My daughters would campaign incessantly if I showed it to them. We'll keep their GAS restricted to a purple sparkle Ibanez Mikro for now.

If my family was not so settled here with friends, church, schools etc, I would move.....still thinking of it...
need the housing market to improve though so I can get SOME of the oodles of $$$$$ I put into the various remodels over the years !

Not to get "off topic" but I am all for training.....regardless of open or concealed carry.....I really do not see it as a way for the Gov't to track who has guns (although ti may be)...I just see it as being responsible....
