like the looks of the white pearl PG on the LE teal. nice and easy mod there.
Thanks. Can't say enough good things about working with Mike Quick. He sent me a template to check fit and then turned the whole thing around in just over a week. The white pearl just makes the blocks pop.
Just got this 55-94 today from Bass Central in Fern Park, Fl..I was not looking for a Lakland at all but Perry convinced me to try one..I liked it but I had to go through three more until I found "The One" !! This thing is amazing!

My former Lakland Family reunion pic!I've sold all of em except the Cherry 55-94 deluxe,Tobacco fretless 55-94 deluxe and the Bob Glaub P-bass.
Only sold them to get recording gear since I'm mostly working from home these days when I'm not on the road. All those basses were great tools!!!! They all have good homes too!![]()
I want a DJ5 bad... that is all
As long as everyone's basses would start looking as great as his, I'm cool with Markus taking over the world. "Markus clear coat over flamed koa" would be a kinda' strange name, though.![]()
This is the new one I bought from a store I will never buy from again due to the poor service (hint...BC) and Leo at Lakland took care of for me and got it playing like a dream. I have now added an Audere (love it!) and a new pearloid pickguard from Mike Quick (highly recommended). Looks, plays, and sounds like a million dollars and has become my number 1!
It also got me to change the pickups in my trusty Korean 55-01 to the Nordstrand Big Splits and I just pulled the trigger on a new Audere pre for that bass as well. Be on the lookout for the US Bartolini pre in the classifieds soon.
Loving life in Laklandville right now...

Cool article, thanks for sharing.
I can't help but notice a major editing flaw: they left the Doude and GregC and I out of the biggest names in the business client list!![]()

Some people like whisper-like action...

I think he was talking about #19
Told me I would have to keep my right hand in my pocket, the action was set so low.![]()
