In Texas the concealed carry class is now 4-6 hours. But no open carry yet. This makes it easier to protect the Lakies when on gigs.

I can see it now:
3 stands....2 for Lakies and 1 for the shotgun....

So I instantly thought My Little Pony when you said this. I did a search and it turns out MLPs like to rock Laklands

And it's the only bass in a line up of some pretty iconic instruments.

2) a kids bass?
3) a pony accessory?

I find it interesting that it is a dual J and NOT a 44-94!

I don't know, I just found it in a search. Here's where I found it, looks like it's a Tumblr account.

Definitely a mock-up - besides it being a dual J, it only has three knobs.

Aren't they all some shade of blue? Perhaps it's a metaphor for having the blues?

I have a wide variety of colors from Blue to greenish blue to green.... and white and yellow.

Did you have those Bart's setup to be able to split the coils between inner/humbucker/outer? If so how did you like the difference? I can't decide if I want to set it up that way or not.

Hey thanks bro!!! How's everything? I'm working on my record as we speak! I'm hoping to release before the end of the year.

It's not a bass-driven record but,I do have a few songs where I'm featuring bass on the melody.I'm also featuring myself as a keyboardist(kind of a hidden secret until now!)

I'll post a few snips once I'm done with the project!

I did not. I had them running as humbuckers, so can't give you much on that front. Sorry.

Most dual Js were passive (as jade was) and the controls were the same as a J...VVT.

I GUESS it makes me feel better that it is only a mockup from someone's (sick?) Mind......

I checked with Lakland and the color is called "Markus My little pony pink." It's a custom color...

I picked up a set of Bartolini MK5's and a 918F NTMB A/P for a great price and installed them into the 55-01. I like the sound. It is not nearly as modern HiFi as the stock set up but you can still get a bit of nice top end sizzle.

I'm still not sure if I want to set it up for split coil operation.

So for those wondering of you should upgrade the electronics in your 55-01: if you like the modern HiFi sizzle leave it stock. If you like the throaty, thick, deeper classic Bartolini sound, then an upgrade may be the way to go.
