Well, if Lakland would offer a B&B neck on the 44/55-01's and 44/55-02's I would not have gone the decal route.

Marcel is busting his...well...you know ...to get this done "right"....we want the web site to be functional, not crash, and meet our users expectations BEFORE it goes live...doesn't make sense to do anything BUT that in a web site launch...oops....did I just step over a line here?

I'm a numbers guy. To me the cost difference between the Skyline and the US is not justifiable. I can buy a Skyline, which I love the feel of and yes, I've played the US versions, and customize the Skyline exactly how I want it for less money than a US. Granted, I couldn't do Oregon colors.
Sent my fretless neck to Carl today. He couldn't have been nicer. He should have it by Monday. We talked about the 2 different coatings he uses, epoxy and acrillic, seems to me like I will try the acrillic coating. Has anyone used the acrillic from Carl? I like the idea that the acrillic isn't as thick on the fretboard so it shouldn't change the feel of the neck. I will keep the group posted.

Mine were acrylic....and I loved the feel and sound! He says it is like super glue kind of.....he puts on many coats depending on the neck etc.
I am sure you will be very happy.

I am a numbers guy too, but I think the opposite way. Like what is the point of having 2 "decent" basses when I can sell them and buy one "incredible" bass. Often it does not work out like that... but I can dream.
Honestly the only things I really didn't like about my Skyline were the short clover tuners and the cheap feeling knobs. I actually really like the satin finished necks they have.
