That Lull Tbird on FeeBay I want has a mahogany neck!! Satin finish! I am dying watching it daily calling my name...hahah!!
But the Obamaconomy is keeping me from spoiling myself and grabbing it :crying:
The one brand of amp/cab company I have not tried but someday want to is the aggie stuff...It looks like it would be great stuff...
Maybe someday?

Yes, my only other bass is my Lull M5. It's a keeper, too, a very special bass. Mike makes amazing instruments, his necks are truly amazing. Different from the Lakland necks with their uber-comfy flay radius, but just as nice IMHO.

I've been eying the black Lull T-Bird on GC's site, but I won't have that kind of money to blow on a bass for a while!

Isn't it a great feeling to finally find am amp you feel can compliment your playing style and the instruments we choose!? I went down the Mesa road and could not tame the dragon, they make some remarkable gear though.

(In my best Les Claypool voice) STEAMY!

The DB series cabs are really nice. you can get very vintage or modern by just adjusting the tweeter.

The one in the pic that Overbybr posted is my old DB212. I had that and a pair of DB112s. I preferred the DB112 stack and having both was redundant. So i sold the DB212 and bought a Bergantino AE410. I'm totally happy.

Be sure to try the DB series when you can, they have a nice low mid bump and cut through a mix VERY well, especially with a good Lakie. They sound great with everyone of my Lakies, active and passive and the "B" sounds great through them.

Happy until GAS strikes during another in-between gigs period of time ;) I have a Berg cab, and now this DB212, both are amazing. I think the nod goes to the DB though, which is why I'm ok sending my berg off to someone else in a few short days.

I think that if I could have a gig per month, my GAS would be significantly reduced, or at least that's what I tell myself.

Diiiiig.... I don't have a bass with 5 pickups yet though.

I had a chance to buy a Warwick Bootsy bass on the cheap several years ago and ended up getting something else instead. Although that bass is probably not very easy to play while sitting I sorta kick myself that I never bought it...
A Bootsy bass is not meant to be played while sitting, nor should it be!:D

It seems that, for me, the G in GAS stands for "Gary's" :)

lmao....that is good....

Well let's just say I'm Italian and I made him an offer he couldn't refuse! :ninja:

But seriously, he is an awesome guy. He is temporarily disabled due to a stroke, I helped him ship a few big cabs. He needed the $$ and he isn't playing too much. He has some other basses that are easier for him to play in his present condition. He was very happy to see it go to a good home. Despite the fact I only own 2 basses, this one is truly a keeper!

HAHA! I think we all fall victim to GAS. I love amps and cabs and my last rig was just not cutting through the mix, so off it went. Found the whole rig on GC's used sight for an amazing price.

With the 5594 and fresh stainless rounds, it sliced through the mix in my 8-person funk band like a sawzall!

wow....sorry to hear he is partially disabled.....that sucks....glad you were able to help him out....in multiple ways!

I will make sure to give everyone a full report when I can actually get the damn thing wired...

.....and when the move is done!

its only money (enabler)

I guess....problem is my money has too many places that want it...

This is such an awesome combination of tones....mmm mmm mmmm
