Lakland Owners Group #69

Yeah I get that it might be over the top, more like fun to imagine than the reality of having to put it all together!

We actually happen to have our own Lakeland owners group website for several years. I think we finally shut it down about 7 or 8 years ago.

We were losing money like crazy and could not keep it running technically

I do have some swag left from the old days. I may post some pictures tomorrow and see if anybody's interested in it

Been there tried that... Pretty much all of the above. Never really got much traction

I still have two of the original black LOG t shirts and two of the black woven Lakland straps. I miss the old LOG site. I was thinking about it the other day. Remember the vote for the first LOG bass? The winner was an orange 4 string hollowbody that then morphed into a 5 string P.

I for one an VERY interested! (I miss the site as well)

I'm toying with the idea of wanting to add a usable passive mode to my 55-02 (LH3 electronics), with a passive tone control. Has anyone attempted this before?

Why is the 55-02 passive mode so much lower output than the active mode? Are the pickups really that quiet? The 55-02 passive mode is significantly quieter than any other passive bass I've owned, which seems pretty strange.

I really liked the passive mode setup on my old Sandberg VM5, where the treble control became a passive tone control when entering passive mode, and there was no noticable volume change between active and passive mode.

I can't see anything other than that gorgeous bass in that picture ;)

I have one of those bags as well, built like a tank, but weighs about as much as one too :D Similar to the Sadowsky PortaBag (Access used to make them, don't think they still do), but taken up to 11 :laugh::laugh:

"Not Ready", our new release, is out today! I used my '98 55-94, set flat with both pickups on full running direct to the DAW with a little bit of compression. Listening back, I kinda wish I split the rear to get a little more articulation, but it sounds nice and full and rich.

And we're taking some privileges with the style, leaning into a little bit of an 80's vibe. If you're so inclined. Thank you!

Releasing this one on Valentine's Day was intentional.
