Lakland Owners Group #69

I think it is meant more of an "Oh sh#t, battery died" mode than a true passive mode. You can lower the output of the active mode to make them match more, but then your output signal may suffer.

It does suffer. I tried it and was less than impressed. Changed it back shortly thereafter.

I got it back in 2003 maybe when I got my first 55-02. Doesn't say SKB on it anywhere, just the Lakland logo. I keep it on a rack shelf holding this ol thing:

To be honest it isn't that great of a case, the 55-02 moves around in there, normally I'd throw a towel or something in there to hold the bass in place if I was leaving the house with it.

“Not Ready”, our new release, is out today! I used my ‘98 55-94, set flat with both pickups on full running direct to the DAW with a little bit of compression. Listening back, I kinda wish I split the rear to get a little more articulation, but it sounds nice and full and rich.

And we’re taking some privileges with the style, leaning into a little bit of an 80’s vibe. If you’re so inclined. Thank you!

Releasing this one on Valentine’s Day was intentional.

I like it! I’m at work and can not hear the bass very well. Will listen more closely with cans when I get home.

Yes. That is the one. I have no idea if SKB made them but they are the same style. My guess is that it works better for some basses vs others since its a one size fits all type of thing.

Great looking bass in the case!

I’ll play. My pair is not as hot as yours @spufman. My 44-01 is 2011, has yellowed nicely over the years and the neck is stable and action is super low!

44-02 was purchased 2023 and JJ is helping to get it to play as well as the 44-01. He has done a lot to it and we are close to getting it perfect.

How do you guys stop at two Laklands? I'm trying to cut back...
