Beautiful grain!by the way, non Lakland content (sorry):
this is coming soon...new build from Carey Nordstrand. It will have the NPVa (same pickup as was offered in the LOG bass, I believe) I'm so stoked.

Looking at getting a Skyline DJ 5 but have a general question about them, awhile back on TB somebody posted that they were having an issue with a DJ5 neck, it may have developed a sky jump or a twist don’t remember but somebody responded that it was an “ issue “ with the Skyline DJ5 necks in particular, is that true and are there other things to look out for ? Thanks

A dozen DJ5s did you keep regretting you sold/ traded them ?I had that on a DJ5 once, 10+ years ago. But I've owned at least another dozen of DJ5s without issues.

It's funny how this also mirrors my DJ history. While not yet a dozen it's not far off and currently (again) own a pair of DJ5 with one for sale because as the invt goes, I have 'one too many' (yes, that is possible) so the duplicate goes. And I always feel a bit dumbe everytime I say I have owned many over the years because I fully expet that to be received exactly as @jimnolte reacted, 'if you love 'em so much why have you bought and sold so many'. For me it's probably the lure of the new shiny thing, or 'something better' and I have had some 'better' where three different Modulus Q5 come to mind, one of which I wish I still had, yet pound for pound and all things considered, quality for value, etc., the DJ5 keeps surfacing as the one that suits me best I guess, this model specifically and the brand in general. Can't explain it, it just is.There was a time when the DJ5 was the TB darling. So I'd flip them frequently. Every time I sold one, I'd buy another. Now I got two.
And to answer your question from my experience of the 8 or so DJ5 I have owned, various vintages, Korean or Indonesian, I have never had a neck issue like you describe or otherwise. One Skyline J-Sonic I bought a couple years ago actually had a legitimate warped/twisted neck but that one had other signs of some environmental exposure (metal corrosion, etc) that may have been a contributing factor. But across all other Skyline models I have owned I have nnever has any neck issues.Looking at getting a Skyline DJ 5 but have a general question about them, awhile back on TB somebody posted that they were having an issue with a DJ5 neck, it may have developed a sky jump or a twist don’t remember but somebody responded that it was an “ issue “ with the Skyline DJ5 necks in particular, is that true and are there other things to look out for ?
