I love the way that the Duck Dunn looks with the tort PG. Mine sports the same look.

I just had a horrible experience with Jeannie's and would not recommend them to anyone at all. Since it is an Indonesian Skyline Jeannie's will require you to send the guard or a tracing anyway so anyone can do what they are doing. If it was Korean I would say they are the best bet regardless of their service because they have good templates for them. I would suggest Pickguardian for tort as they have some of the best I have seen (with the exception of Spitfire tort but you pay a pretty penny for that).

I had a less than pleasant experience with them several years ago fitting an INDO Skyline JOBO pick guard. The guy I dealt with was like 80 grit sandpaper. I even sent them my original pickgaurd and they messed up. Which really wasn't a big deal....but when I called about getting them fixed he bitched and moaned about the INDO Skylines being a pain in the arse in addition to the cost involved re-working my pick guards for a proper fit. All I could think was that this guy shouldn't really be in the biz he was in. I'll never do biz with them. I'd roll my own next time or go with out.

hmmm...strings maybe.....or you MIGHT want to check with [email protected]....I have NEVER heard of the LH3 being described as "dark".

Well....you can't do business with him...he passed on a bit ago....I was never a huge fan either... ordered one guard from him.....the rest came from Carl or lakland.

I've called and talked to Brian and I'm waiting for a call back from Bo. I'm pretty sure it's just the way the preamp is voiced; just must not work well with the single coils and the jazz style bass. It's nothing close to the passive J tone and so different that it's doubtful it's the particular woods of the bass. The bass itself kills and they guys have been great, the preamp just isn't going to work in my setup so I'll replace it.
