Lakland Owners Group #69


With regards to the imagery on the Lakland site. Sometimes mockups are done in lieu of a photographs for new model(s) depending on time constraints when trying to get them to market and make that information available. I believe this is where that discrepancy is coming from. As was noted many moons ago the block inlay on the 17th fret is also a bit thicker. NBD :)
 
I recall after the '09 GTG we had these guys in Dougie's bassment and we did some measurements, and the DJ's were in fact a bit different spacing than the JO's...

I'd love to hear more measurements, but it'd be nice if we could finally put the whole "DJs have 70s spacing" thing to bed- it is a pretty common misconception that gets passed along. I honestly passed up a few DJs in the past thinking that they had 70s spacing which I don't get along with, and it was only recently that I looked into it more critically...
