Just found pics of two US Laklands I kick myself in the tush for ever letting go ...... sigh.........sniffle....
These were two that can never be replaced.... both were passive...Sometimes I wonder what I was thinking when I let go of these beauties...???

But life has a weird way of finding other things for your money to go towards...
And POOF, off goes your coveted basses.....
This had such a beautiful top...a work of art!

Yeah, I think back to that bass often... THAT is the one bass I had and sold , that haunts me to this day...
That was the fluke build, that was built for a fellow LOG'er that was a one of a kind... ( you know the history of the build )
I had it and let it slip out of my grasp, like a fool

Thanks to fellow LoGger Black Bart I found a nice LPB Scheff fiver but its not as good looking as yours...(sn 7 but the third one built)...

nope....it's a (very early) Skyline...but its really nice....

I had a shoreline gold skyline Scheff prior to buying your US #007...
It was super nice... it was one of the early ones also..

Real nice spread.. I am in a similar boat although I still want some kind of P bass... Probably a MM/P though so I can do the switch thing in the MM pup for a bit more flexibility.

I got my replacement amp today, the original MB800 died last week and GK swapped it for me with no hassel.

I unbox it and plug it in, roll through the stable to find that EQ setting that makes all of the basses happy and get through 6 of the 7 dwarves. My DJ5 is the last that I pick up and I'll be damned if it's not the best sounding of the bunch. I put it back on the wall, grab my TL6, then the 55-01, then the 55-02, then the 44-64, then the '64 clone trooper, the fretless.

The DJ5 just kills them all. I did put Dunlop Super Bright Nickels on it a couple of weeks ago, I may do a massive string swap in the future to have everything on the super brights.

No, I'm not selling anything anytime soon unless I'm forced to, but that DJ5 is just amazing...
