I stole this beauty today! Not literally, but found it on CL for a ridiculously cheap price and returned the 2002 Skyline Joe Osborn I had just bought from GC tp grab her. 
I give you , the 2006 DJ5 with Aero pups , super clean instrument , next to no signs of play wear. And she came with the original HS lakland case. Now if I can just find a white pearl pick guard for her.......... Link Removed

If you gave his full asking price you got a great deal! I saw that one but convinced myself I didn't need it.
Typically , I haggle hard,...this time around, I didn't even try,.......emailed him and said I'll take it. I would normally never do such a thing,....too much horse trader in my blood

No kidding, and even a case with it for a bonus. I'm glad you got it. As great of a deal that was, it would have been a lot more expensive for me when the resultant divorce would have happened.
1st gig last night with the newly acquired 55-01. The bass felt great, I cant understand how a 35" scale bass felt so comfortable. I didnt find myself searching or reaching for notes. I've not had the same experience with any other 35'er. I move around *a lot* on stage so being able to "know" where the notes are is big for me. Thumbs up to Lakland for the design.
I'm so happy I swapped the MK1'S for the Big Singles. Nice and thick! I just may keep this bass passive after all.

Hey guys, I have decided I'm looking for something different tonally with my 55-64. Looking for a little more aggressiveness out of the P pup and something with a more pronounced midrange from the Jazz pup.
Currently I have the stock P pup and a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Jazz pup at the bridge. I'd like to keep the bass passive. What would you recommend?

Mark, I have a LOG 55-64 with a Nordstrand NP5 P pickup. I'd try a nordy in the bridge, as well. It is the hottest, most aggressive bass I own. With my amp set flat, I barely crack the tone and really have to watch my volume or this thing will bring the thunder!
Look at the Aguilar Hot PJ set. I have Aggies in one PBass and Duncan's in another, and the Aggies are more aggressive. I love them. Still vintage but more aggressive.
I got bored today and put the ChiSonics back in my 55-01. After testing them it dawned on me how much they sound like that funky bass that you hear on every TV show from the 70s and early 80s, Barney Miller, Sanford and Son, CHiPs, Emergency. So full and tight.
