Hello All,
I have the chance to pick this 55-01 Spalted Deluxe up for $730. It's practically mint. What do you think?
Thanks
Shaun

Exactly like a 55-02 neck...what have you played previously? it's flat, smooth, soft contours on the sides, a wider than Ibanez, but very comfortable. The spacing is perfect for me, wider than most.
The Lakland will feel a bit thinner front to back than the Warwick. I think the warwick is a flatter radius as well... but those are really just based on numbers. I think the Lakland necks are the best feeling necks in the businessI just sold a '96 Warwick Corvette. That's what I'm use to.

Now the question is which strings? I want to string thru the body. I also love nickles. Which ones??
Thanks

And who is this? Is she single? Tell her I said, Hi.

Took the (tort) guard off of my DS JO the other day out of boredom. I like it, though I'll probably be throwing it back on before long. Either way, here she is in the buff!

DR Nickel Lo-Riders or Pure Blues... both string through the body with no problem. Lo-Riders are stiffer feeling. Now the question is which strings? I want to string thru the body. I also love nickles. Which ones??

I play a 55-14 and a thumb bolt on 5. The Lakland is the best neck I've ever felt. Nothing has come Close in my experience. The Lakland will feel a bit thinner front to back than the Warwick.
