Does anyone know the whereabouts of Waldo?

If i was to order an exotic top 55-94 (which I am debating), I would hope to get a top that nice. Buckeye can be very hit and miss with me, but those darker ones that look like marble are the bee's knees. Beautiful.
If you get a hold of Leo Lopez at Lakland... he can send you pix of tops in progress and you can pick... That's how I got mine.... It was a body... hoping to be a bass and offered pre NAMM... so in this case, I got to " open the Kimono " and see what was underneath before marrying her....

That's a fine and sexy bass no doubt!!!
Thank you and yours, as well. I'm not sure what Lakland is up to, but there is, what appears to be, a whole series of basses like this...nicely figured tops, gold hardware, different fingerboard options, black headstock. Something about those combinations. I was just sort of browsing and saw the one I got and was hooked! Well played Lakland. Well played.

Lakland US Decade 6 Bass Guitar | eBay

Unless bidding goes crazy, someone's gonna be getting a great deal on a Decade 6! I'm not affiliated, but I hope someone in the club gets it!

Side note: anyone know why Lakland only modifies their necks short scale instruments? I'd love a SS Decade or Hollowbpdy (full bodied version), but need more that 18 frets. I'd think it make more sense to move the bridge forward a few inches.

Looks like some real tight string spacing

I'm still on the fence about selling my Duck Dunn, I love the feel and sound. I just opt for my Jazzes more. The Ducks are really special because is no fender equivilent. But, I'm doing more guitar work lately and could use a Les Paul, the money from the Duck would get me closer...what to do...

Do what you have to do....

A newer Les Paul would be nice..

Interestingly I'm leaning more P bass than j bass these days...
