Lakland Owners Group #69

Are these the same type of straps they used to offer years ago? Carl mentioned that Lakland used to sell woven straps at one time when I was asking about a bass with neck dive a while ago.

Similar but no. Those were available when the LOG first started. I think we got a deal on them. The leather end looks the same but the woven material is thicker and more substantial. They're comfortable and don't slip. They're nice straps. I have two black ones. They were available in black and cream. I agree that these look cheap in comparison and totally unappealing.

I've been experiencing no lack of band drama lately. Its making me do things not unlike Texan, but for me, its sell a couple basses, buy an upright, and start on a whole new adventure. More details to come.

Very interesting, sounds like your mixing it up again and there's nothing wrong with that :)

That's a pretty fast gig turn-around. Were the songs already familiar?

I think I had 9 days to learn all their original material, 10 songs that I'd never heard. It's hard rock with some fast licks. I think I impressed them by learning it all by ear at home. The gig went well, the other 3 bands at the gig were very welcoming and said they'd never have guessed I was new to the band. :-). I even played my sparkle stingray.
