I've had a Skyline and now own a US. I'm pretty sensitive to neck dive and haven't noticed any. It does feel like a slightly longer reach to the so-called 'money frets" near the nut compared to a Fender-style instrument, but it hasn't bothered me.

Though I only recall hearing reach complaints from one or two people, and one I know for sure was about a foot shorter than me.

I own two US decades, one with chisonics and another with Darkstars. Decades are amazing instruments, they feel great, necks are perfection, no neck dive at all. They tend to be a bit lighter than other Laklands. about the pickups, darkstars have that reputation, almost esoteric, of being magical, and THEY ARE, but I wouldn't recommend them over the chi's. Chisonics are crazy pickups, actually very close in tone to the darkstars, but more versatile imho. 2200 sounds right to me. And I don't think decades are a discontinued model, they appear in the Lakland website, so I would think you can order them.
Used US sold prices ‘round these parts seem to be in in the $1900 range. Just what I have been observing.
Anybody try Norstrand NP4 pickups in their 44-64 PJ? I have a NP4 and was wondering how it would blend with the Lakland J. I really like it as a straight P pickup, and think it would blend well. Just curious before I bust out the soldering iron.
I have the NP5 version...but mine had to matching J pickup so I couldn't tell you how well they would play together....
