What winding length do I need for my 55-01 to string through body? Any string ideas?

All DRs are long enough, and my favorites hands down. Can’t tell a difference strung on top though, to be honest. I just prefer DRs and they are so long that you need to string them through body to keep the low string(s) full diameter from wrapping around the tuner posts.

So just the regular length will work?

Yes, according to DR website, regular are usable up to 37.75” scale. Long scale up to 40.5”.

You need about 2” extra length for through body stringing, which would leave a “regular” set at 35.75”..... perfect for a 35” scale Lakland 55 series.

Yessir sitting in the ridges of wheat right now. I get out a little here and there. Gigs are as infrequent as ever though. Would you happen to be going to UMS in Denver next weekend? There will be a blue Lakland at some point.
