It's here. The previous owner did fly with it today so he had removed the neck to get it in the cabin. He also had it tuned E-C with a D-tuner on. So it was some work getting it playing.
When I got home I mounted the neck, put new strings on and did a full setup. I now have it tuned B-G. I didn't remove the D-tuner for now but I might do so next time I change strings.
When I was done it was evening here so I could only try it at low volume. At that volume I must say I was impressed by the sound after what I read about it. I could get lots of sounds just by moving my hand. Can't wait to try it on high volume.
The neck is a chunky one
The string spacing is wide. No problem playing it but I'm not used to it after playing 4-string Fender Jazz basses a lot lately. But I'll get used to it. I used to have a 6-string with wide spacing.
For now, I'm am very happy with my purchase. Here's some crappy IPhone pics. Better pics will come when I got the time to take it out and shoot with my Canon 5D Mk2.
