Very very long list of GAS and wannas.....but I'm told my collection is too large and there are too many house projects at the new to us house (2 projects planned each about the cost of a US Lakie... More to come)... So.... No purchases lined up at the moment!

Thanks! There were some great looking basses there for sure!

I really liked it... Was the neck as figured as a US Lakie? No... But it felt and sounded really good.

I first played a 55-02 shoreline that seemed to have some issues.. Maybe the battery was going but the volume and tone controls were a bit wacky... The volume only really changed in the last quarter of the turn.. And it was dramatic...

I really wanted to bring the shoreline 55-94 home.. The color was really cool and the top was awesome!

But it was $3,000 I did not have....

I was told ESP Japan is in a shut down and that orders will be 8 months from this point forward... At least for the foreseeable future... Not sure about that.. We will have to see...

Next time. There I plan on making sure I can buy one.

Interestingly enough the shoreline skylines are still Korean made

I sold my 44-64 Skyline about a month ago, parlayed that into a 04 Skyline Hollow Body... and while I don't feel that was a mistake, I think it was needed to get my emotions out of the way to move my skylines for... something... but my 44-60 Skyline that I keep threatening to sell with the fretless neck keeps making wistful eyes at me from the corner so she's not going on the block at the moment... I've already got the HB on Reverb, and have an eye on either a US 44-64 custom or one of the white 44-64 custom Skylines... Sell both the HB and the 44-60... get the US... sell just the HB and get the Skyline... do nothing and keep my sanity...

bottom line... a 44-64 with PJ and Jazz width neck is really on my GAS list.

Doug, Your GAS knows no bounds and at this point doesn't make any sense to me LOL. With all due respect, why would you spend US Lakland kinda money on a Korean made Shoreline bass that's not as nice as a US? And, unless I'm mistaken, they've not been inspected/setup in Chicago like the Skylines we have here in the states. So, IMO they're not Laklands in any way.

The shoreline skylines are made in Korea...the Shoreline ( upper level instruments) are made in Japan by ESP .... And are very nice builds... And set up well... And have Hanson pickups and pre amp.

I would never pay that money for a skyline.... Those are about a grand.

I would never buy a Shoreline skyline over a Lakland skyline but the Shoreline ESP models are with the money...imho.
