Lakland Owners Group #69

Has anyone dropped Nordstrand big splitman or bigman pu’s in a xx-02/94?

How do they compare to Lh3’s or Bart’s?

How easy was the install? We’re you able to retain the standard pickup switching for the bridge?
I’d love to try the big blades in a 44-94! I have a PJ set in a Warwick and they absolutely sound amazing!

Hey! Been awhile fellow Lakland owners...
I sadly need to list and sell two of my three beloved US Laklands :( Sniffle...
Not all THAT long ago, I had 16 basses and 8 of them where US Laklands.
Now?
Down to just 3 basses...
The US Hollowbody with factory installed Darkstars
The US Scheff ( hands of God ) That was Scheff's sons commissioned bass...
The US 44-07 with Chisonic buckers in tobacco sunburst

Never thought I would let go of any of these three till they dig that 6 foot hole and plant me...
But it is what it is..
On a happy note?
It got me back on here blaaabing :D

I vote keep the USA HB. They are works of art, IMHO.
I'll say the same about my others two early USA's - just perfection.
But if you have to choose, keep the USA HB.
My 2 cents.

I hear you, true works of art across the board... As are pretty much any early US Laklands!
With the factory installed Darkstars, the HB is just one of those impossible to ever get again basses.. then again? So are the other two!
This is clearly a no win situation I face...hahaha :(

Anyone have a lead on a pre-owned Skyline 44-60 / JO?

Looking to join the club! I've wanted a Lakland for a long time and will finally be ready when my Stingray Special sells.

There are a couple of nice ones on Reverb, the trans white and especially Sherwood green stack knob, but curious if I may have missed some great specimens.
