The neck is flat out amayzazazing for a 4 string player... US Lakland necks are the best in the biz...especially from this era...
Restraint....I haven't bought a bass in over two years. It hurts, but no gigs, no new gear. I almost took a gig the other day to have the justification to buy a new one.
I get that mentality totally! I was in 3 bands a few short weeks ago: subbing in 2 and full time in my own band. That lasted two months with gigs every weekend for a 6 week stretch. That was too much for a full time worker and family man trying to keep up with family duties, while learning 80 songs for the 2 sub bands. But, it gave me excuses to buy basses and amps LOL.
Duh!! I should have realized since it's the 2nd Scheff built! SMH
I've tried to distract myself by designing making OD pedals, but this has only fed the fire to play so I can hear them in a live setting. I just can't win.
its been 1 maybe 2 years that Laurel is showing up on Skylines. When many builders when to Morado/Pao Ferro after the big CITES hubub. granted, some builders went to Morado prior to that, yes.
